UMSSB JOINS UTAMACON GROUP OF COMPANIES IN SPREADING FESTIVE CHEER THROUGH CSR INITIATIVES

During the month of Ramadan, UMSSB joined the Utamacon group of companies to bring joy and alleviate financial burdens to support underprivileged families residing in Brunei Muara, Belait and Tutong districts. These efforts aimed to ease their financial burden and contribute to the betterment of society.  The CSR teams of UMSSB and the Utamacon group of companies worked together with a Non-Government Charity body to identify 15 underprivileged families residing in the 3 districts.  These acts of kindness were intended to ease their expenses and enable them to celebrate the upcoming Hari Raya festivities with greater joy and peace of mind.

The distributions of donation and essential food items were carried out on 13 April 2023 to 12 families residing in Brunei Muara district and on 15 April 2023 to 2 families in Tutong district and 1 family in Belait district respectively. Recognizing the financial challenges they face, the Utamacon group wants to ensure that they would have an ample supply of provisions to nourish themselves and their loved ones during this auspicious time.  UMSSB’s dedication to improving the lives of these families underscored their commitment to fostering social welfare and inclusivity, and extending assistance beyond a single district demonstrated their dedication to uplifting communities across the country.

By undertaking these CSR initiatives, UMSSB and its sister companies emphasized their role in promoting unity and fostering stronger bonds within the communities they serve.  The collective effort of the Utamacon group’s CSR Team showcased the spirit of togetherness and solidarity.  This compassionate approach not only enabled underprivileged families to celebrate Hari Raya with dignity but also highlighted the importance of shared values and empathy in building stronger, more inclusive communities.
